A new range of metal-faced seals from Pioneer Weston

A new range of metal-faced seals from Pioneer Weston draws on 60+ years of experience designing, developing and manufacturing mechanical rotary seals with the addition of o-ring elastomeric materials expertise and design technology from parent company ERIKS – acknowledged as Europe’s largest manufacturer and supplier of o-ring seals.

Metal faced seals offer bearing protection and lubricant retention on any relatively slow moving rotary shaft, predominantly found in tracked vehicles such as earth movers, mobile cranes and large off-highway vehicles. The new range from Pioneer Weston was designed at the new dedicated UK sealing technology centre in Warrington, and assembled in the UK.

Designed to be used both as a replacement item and as an OE fitment part the new range is ideal for applications such as wheel hubs, axles and drive shafts. From the outset the new seal range offers a broad mix of standard sizes and dimensions to fit the widest range of applications; pairs of seals from 38mm ID to a huge 1.5m id are already available with further special variations being added continuously as new applications are identified.
