ERIKS has developed control systems for machines with over 100 coordinated servos axes. Using electronic servo technology, mechanical complexity is replaced with electronic and software-based flexible equivalents.

Cams, cam followers, transmissions, differentials, gearboxes, clutches and brakes can all be implemented in software. Entire drive-trains can be configured using this SoftMation or software-based machine control. Using recipe variables, machines can be electronically reconfigured in seconds to run different speeds, product types, or package sizes.
