For example: An ERIKS customer had issues with their gas cool air fan application. Historically to change one retained and one expansion bearing took 14 hours and 2 apprentices. Following a consultation with ERIKS bearing technical specialists they decided to switch to SRB 01 Light Series units.
With supervision and training from the ERIKS technical specialist the first installation took just 6 hours. In addition it is now possible for the customer to change just the bearings, as the cast iron housing outlives the bearings, within 2 hours (1 hour for each bearing).
