VPI ( Vacuum Pressure Impregnation ) Job being lifted from the Tank

  • Vacuum Pressure Impregnation (VPI) process provides many benefits to the user. It completely seals the windings against moisture and vibration, provides greater mechanical strength and improved corona protection.
  • VPI ( Vacuum Pressure Impregnation ) vastly improves performance and reliability even in the harshest working environments. Machines last longer and require less maintenance. VPI ( Vacuum Pressure Impregnation ) is a process which provides positive pay-back over a short period of time.
  • ERIKS have several VPI ( Vacuum Pressure Impregnation ) plants operating in the UK. The largest in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, uses 100% solids epoxy resinous impregnants. All the other VPI ( Vacuum Pressure Impregnation ) plants utilise 100% solids polyester resins.
  • These VPI ( Vacuum Pressure Impregnation ) plants have been designed to process the complete range of electrical plant - from small DC coil, wire wound stators right up to large 11,000 volt stators. Machines can be tested under water before despatch to you.
