Back-up Rings Backup Sealing Technology
Back-Up Rings (Anti-Extrusion Rings) are installed with O-Rings and Quad Rings to prevent gap extrusion in applications above approximately 8Mpa (80 bar, 2100 psi).

Two Back-up rings are to be fitted on a double acting application.
