Polyacrylate-Acrylic Acid Ester. These compounds are designed to withstand heat while retaining oil resistance.
Specially designed for sulfur bearing oil applications, ACMs are subjected to heat and bearing environments. They have good resistance to dry heat, oxygen, sunlight, and ozone but their low temperature properties are relatively poor and they have low swell in mineral oils.
Service temperatures are -20°C (-5°F) to 150°C (300°F). ACM is mainly used for O-rings and shaft seals to seal heavy oils at high temperatures and in the automotive industry for transmission and power steering applications.
