The ERIKS Automation Engineering Design Challenge 2013, a new competition offering a prize of £5,000 worth of design time, has now been launched.
The launch coincides with the Engineering Design Show, which this year takes place at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry on the 2nd and 3rd of October.
Entrants must submit an outline of an automation project which is currently at the concept stage. These submissions will then be judged by an expert panel including ERIKS Automation specialists and a winner selected to receive up to £5,000 of design and development work (equivalent to 40 engineering hours). The winner, as well as two runners-up, will also receive a Land Rover Experience.
The deadline for entries is the 13th December with the winner being announced in January 2014.
"Faster and improved innovation and development means a shorter time to market for the machine," says Andrew Weaver, Application Engineer, Motion Control, ERIKS Automation. "That translates not only into a competitive advantage, but also in better financial results."
ERIKS will be demonstrating the potential to add value with automation solutions at this year's Engineering Design Show (Stand F50)
. Specialists on the ERIKS Automation stand will discuss how they can deliver real customer benefits in automation technology across a wide range of industries in the form of energy savings, enhanced performance, and improved profitability.
ERIKS Automation Services help streamline manufacturing processes and add value to design functions. As well as providing solutions that are faster, better, smaller and more efficient, ERIKS Automation Services also offer manufacture and assembly.
