ERIKS Integrated Solutions,is to help part fund the travel and accommodation of the highly promising golfer Kelly Brotherton.
Kelly, who has represented Great Britain at golf and has a handicap of +1 will be playing in both national and international amateur events until September when she will then pursue her dream of qualifying for the Ladies European Tour which involves intensely competitive qualifying rounds in both Italy and Spain.
Paul Jenno, Managing Director of ERIKS Integrated Solutions commented on the decision to help saying, “Despite the fact that Kelly has had to face a good deal of adversity, including having to return from her Clackmannanshire Community Chest golfing scholarship in the U.S because of her Father´s ill-health, and not being able to afford to buy her own equipment, she is more than capable of making the grade. She is a hard worker and has a part-time job to fund her golf career and we at ERIKS Integrated Solutions can identify with that and help alleviate her biggest problem – financial backing.”
On receiving the cheque during a tournament at St. Andrews Kelly thanked ERIKS Integrated Solutions for its help saying, “Financial support of this type is vital for me at the moment as I work towards gaining my tour card later this year. Funding a first full season as a professional golfer can cost upwards of twenty thousand pounds so I hope I can achieve success and therefore reward those that have so generously backed me.”
