Profile rail systems feature carriages with re-circulating ball or roller sets, sometimes caged which run on profiled rails.
Available in ball or roller configurations they are characterised by extremely high load capacity and high rigidity due to the angled contact between the sets of balls or rollers and the track in the rail.
Profile rail systems are common in machine tools and industrial robot applications requiring compact, high load and consistent positioning from their linear system. Profile rail guidance systems are also able to accommodate considerable overhanging moment loads.
