SERCOS Standard AC PE Servo Systems
The Sanyo Denki PE Servo Systems with SERCOS are fully-digital and offer both high-performance and a rich set of features. The only connection from the controller to the PE Series drives is the SERCOS fibre optic cable.
The ac servo drives have complete built-in functionality including dynamic braking and handling of regenerative energy. Extra regeneration energy handling capability can be added to each PE Series servo drive with standard external regeneration resistors.
The universal remote operator is used for easy setting of servo drive parameters and for checking the status of the servo system. The drive parameters can also be accessed with AML using the SERCOS identification numbers (IDN´s).
Standard cables for motor power and encoder feedback are available that have all the necessary connections made on both ends of the cables. There is also an optional breakout board with screw terminals and a connection cable to facilitate the I/O connections to the servo drive.
A total of 7 system combinations are currently available:
100W - 400W - 750W - 1.5kW - 2.5kW - 3.0kW - 5.0kW
A selection chart is also available to help you choose a system. Please remember that we also offer the lower-cost, compact PV-series SERCOS systems in 7 sizes from 100W up to 1.5kW.
The PE drives and P3 motors (IP-43) offer a compact motor size with a continuous output power range from 100 to 750 watts. The PE drives also operate the larger power P2 motors (IP-67) over a continuous output power range of 1,500 to 5,000 watts. Each system operates to a maximum speed of 4500 r.p.m. The low-inertia motors have a built-in 2000 line (8000 count per revolution) encoder and optional 24 VDC spring-set holding brakes.
Sanyo Denki SERCOS compatible servo systems are suitable for a broad range of applications including: Packaging, Converting, Winding, Injection Molding, Printing, Metal Forming, Material Handling, Web Handling, and most other types of general purpose industrial machine control.
